Questions formulators ask before a first order

Short answers, grouped by topic. Each ingredient page carries its own four questions as well.

Ordering

What is the smallest order? Five grams of bulk powder for any listed compound. A sample kit of ten vials is also possible if you want sealed single-use units for a first identity check.

How do I ask for a quote? Press the WhatsApp button on any page, or email the address on the contact page. Give the compound name, the quantity in grams and the destination country. If your specification sheet asks for particular COA lines, attach it.

How long does an order take? Typically 3–7 days for a sample or small lot, 10–14 days for a standard lot and 14–18 days for a larger lot, counted after the specification and payment are confirmed. These are typical windows, not fixed promises; the quotation states the window for your lot.

Why are no prices published? Quantity, destination and documentation requirements change the figure, so every quotation is per RFQ. You receive the lot COA with the quotation.

Can I see the COA before I pay? Yes. The certificate of analysis for the lot that would ship is sent with the quotation.

Identity and naming

Which name goes on my ingredient declaration? The INCI name, which is printed first on each ingredient page. The common name, such as GHK-Cu or SNAP-8, is a sourcing name and in some cases a trademark of another company; it is used on this site only so that searches land on the right page.

Why does GHK-Cu have two CAS numbers? One number identifies the copper complex, the material that is supplied, and the other identifies the copper-free tripeptide. Both appear in supplier listings. The ingredient page prints both and explains which one is on the lot documents.

Where do the molecular weights come from? From PubChem, with the compound identifier linked on each page, cross-checked against the manufacturer's product page.

What if a compound has no INCI name? The page says so and lists the material under its common name. Epitalon is the example on this site. Whether such a material can be used in a cosmetic in a given market is a question for the brand's regulatory adviser.

Documents and quality

What is on the COA? Product name, INCI and CAS, lot number, manufacture and retest dates, appearance, HPLC purity by area percent, MS identity against the expected molecular weight, and the storage condition. Other lines on request.

Is an SDS provided? Yes, in the GHS sixteen-section format, on request with the shipment. It names the manufacturer and the site address.

Where are the public batch records? In the manufacturer's library at peptioem.com/coa. The ingredient pages link the records that exist for each compound. Across the library the reported HPLC purities currently fall between 98.4% and 99.8%.

Can I have the material tested independently? Yes. HPLC purity and MS identity are standard methods; any competent analytical laboratory can run them, and the result can be compared with the lot COA.

Does Pepti claim a GMP certificate? No. Pepti does not present itself as a cGMP drug-substance (API) manufacturer or CDMO and does not publish a GMP certificate or DMF. The raw materials are supplied for cosmetic formulation and laboratory work.

Shipping and storage

How is the powder shipped? Cold-chain: the sealed primary container goes into an insulated inner box with gel packs and a foam spacer, inside a plain outer carton with no product name on the outside. Tracking is shared on dispatch. The order-photos page shows each stage.

How should I store it on arrival? In the condition printed on the COA, normally refrigerated for working stock and frozen for long-term storage. Let a cold container reach room temperature before opening it.

Which countries do you ship to? Most destinations that accept courier shipments of cosmetic raw materials. Import requirements differ by country and are the buyer's responsibility; say the destination on the RFQ and the reply will tell you whether there is a known issue.

Scope

Do you make finished skincare products? No. This site sells raw materials only. Finished-product manufacturing and branded finished goods are not offered here.

Do you synthesise custom peptides? No. The list is limited to compounds Pepti already manufactures.

Do you sell research peptides? Not on this site. The compounds here are listed as cosmetic raw materials with the documentation set a formulator needs. Research-use supply is a different documentation set and is handled separately.

Can I use these materials in a product for people? The raw material is supplied for cosmetic formulation and laboratory work; it is not for human or veterinary use as supplied. Whether a finished cosmetic that contains it is compliant is decided by the brand in each market, with its own safety assessment. Pepti supplies identity and purity documentation to support that work.

Who is behind this site? Pepti, a peptide manufacturer in Guangzhou. The about page gives the site address, and the manufacturer's own site is linked from the quality page.
